Children feel grief too. Despite all the concern and empathy, no-one may know quite what to say to the younger members of a grieving family. So the children are either told nothing at all or they are told an unconvincing story.

Children have different levels of understanding, which relate not only to their age but also to experience. It is important that an explanation is properly given with clear, accurate and age appropriate information about the death.

Our staff assist children to create goodbye memories and talk about their feelings in a safe and encouraging environment. Children can be included and involved in every aspect of the bereavement process.
