EVENT: Meet the Author – Kirsty Manning

As part of the Geelong Seniors Festival Events Tuckers Funerals, in conjunction with Torquay Books, invite you to enjoy this rare opportunity to hear from “a country girl with wanderlust, mother of three and author Kirsty Manning”. Kirsty is a Victorian author whom earlier this year published her debut fiction novel The Midsummer Garden.

‘Meet the Author Kirsty Manning’.
10.30am, Thursday 26th October at the Torquay Bowls Club.

On arrival, you can expect the air to be fused with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the dramatic notes of La Traviata playing in the background, depicting a scene from Kirsty’s novel.
One lucky winner on the day will receive a voucher from “The Stoop” restaurant, Torquay. Gold coin entry required on the day, all donations going to The Indigenous Literacy Foundation. To RSVP phone 5221 4788 or contact us.

ABOUT: The Publisher quotes “The Midsummer Garden lures the reader on an unforgettable culinary and botanical journey.” “From medieval France to contemporary Tasmania, two remarkable women discover their strengths, passions and loves”.  Now living in the Macedon Ranges, Kirsty has travelled many places across the globe, has degrees in literature and communications and has worked as an editor and publishing manager. Kirsty loves cooking with her children, and after many years has finally decided to write her own novel. Reading the many reviews online, there is no doubt that this novel has been very well received.
