Our world is forever changing; rituals change, trends change, what was once ‘expected,’ may not feel relevant anymore, particularly when we consider funeral care. What is the right type of funeral?
Alyson Burchell and Sue Marshman are Funeral Directors who specialise in having these ‘conversations’ and understand that funerals can be different and meaningful when they reflect the values and wishes of the one whose life is being remembered.
“Tuckers have been caring for the community for 138 years and have cared for many generations meeting the ever-changing personal, cultural and religious needs in the Geelong Region” says Tuckers Funeral Director, Alyson Burchell.
Change can lead to questions such as:
“How much does a funeral cost?”
“Do I have to place a death notice in the newspaper?”
“How can I make sure my wishes are respected?”
“My parents prepaid their funerals 30 years ago; will we have to pay more money?”
“Who organises the death certificate? How long does it take to arrive?”
“Our information sessions, Funeral Planning…Where do I start? held across the Geelong region in May, answer questions, offer and provide obligation-free information about the different options available today, the associated costs and what measures can be taken to ensure those left behind are supported and protected from the full emotional and financial responsibilities associated with arranging a funeral” says Alyson.
Alyson and Sue will be available to have a chat with you personally after the session.
The session will go for approximately 45-60 minutes with light refreshments provided.
