I only met him a few times while he was in the UK, but I remember him being a giant of a man with giant hands (when I was little he put his hands round my waist and touched his fingers together) and a giant heart to match his height. My memories of his kindness, his gentle manner and his wicked sense of fun will stay with me forever.
