Owen,
You will be missed. You made work a better a place especially on those second watch.
Goodbye from until we meet again! Will miss you dear friend. No one will ever replace your dry witty humour and random come backs. Such a gentle soul, patient, kind man and it was an absolute pleasure working with you. Rest In Peace. Till we meet again xx
RIP Owen. You couldn’t wish to meet a nicer guy.
My condolences to family and friends on the loss of Owen.Owen, you were big hearted friend and colleague who was always smiling and joking. A voice raised in anger or frustration is something that was never heard from you, despite the many challenges that the prison environment presents. This is something that could be said of very few Prison Officers. No one with-in Marngoneet, whether dressed in prisoner greens or officer blues would have a bad word to say of you. This is the man that you were. Loved and respected by all who knew you. I am so sorry for your family’s loss and deeply saddened by your passing. You are missed every day. May your gentle soul rest peacefully.
Owen, it has been a privilege to have known you. For me personally you will always be the quiet guy, but once the barricade goes down, the life of the party. You will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Squad 4 2016 for life…. Rest in peace my friend. Condolence to all friends and family. Owen was a good egg, who would give anybody the shirt off his back if in trouble.
Owen, may you rest in peace. I know you will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have met you, even if only for a short time. Your friends in blue will be with you today, regardless of where they are, we will stand still.
Owen a brother in blue that was taken away from us to soon. You were a true gentleman and will be missed dearly by many. Forever in our hearts.
RobboOwen,
You were my childhood sweetheart. From the time we could walk, I would chase you around and try to kiss you. You never liked it if I caught you. You didn’t like girl germs. We only have our early childhood years together, but you were always on my mind. With our Mums having a beautiful friendship, I always asked after you. I’m so sorry you left our world so soon and so very young. I wish you peace in your eternity.
Love always, MandyAlways such a nice and friendly bloke. Will be missed. Rest in peace mate, thoughts are with you, friends and family at this difficult time.
Owen. You will be terribly missed by your family and friends. I’ll always remember fondly spending time upstairs in your room in the late 1980s and playing the latest computer games and watching in awe of the talent you possessed.
We wish we could have been there today to celebrate a life of a true gentleman.
Condolences to Aunty Nancy, Uncle Arthur, Adam and families.
Love David and Louanda and Mathias and Mia Meyer
Owen you were a source of inspiration to all that knew you and you will never be forgotten.
Cherril & Grant GoldsmithTo dear Owen,
I am saddened to not be by your side today to say our farewells, but I hope your loved ones will see this and carry the love from your family in blue in their hearts to your side today.
Your kindness and humour had an impact on me when I met you almost five years ago and I feel you were a true example of what a gentleman should be. Every time I saw you, I was reminded of the gift you had in your smile that would cheer any mood; it was impossible to not smile back. Your words and actions always carried a sincerity and honesty which will be sadly missed in our lives.
We are all going to stop today to say our goodbyes, and yet even in these remote times with remote viewing, trust that our thoughts, sentiments, and farewells will be just as loud and felt as if we were all by your side in a sea of blue.Goodbye our friend.

Rest In Peace mate.
I’ve such a heavy heart knowing of Owen’s passing and still find this so hard to believe. Like all of us at this age (mid 40’s) you really don’t expect to hear of your mates departing from us so soon. I still attribute all of my love of computer, tech and science and cars to my friendship with Owen. We were in the same classes for so many years. Same name. Same initials. It was quite uncanny. From one Owen to another, the best name, mate, brother, father, son, anyone could know. Farewell Owen.
Thankyou Owen, for your incredible kindness, cheekiness, love, joy and compassion. I hold you dearly in my heart, and am blessed to have the warmth of our wonderful memories. Until we meet again.
