Elaine SELLS

If Roses grow in Heaven
lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day.
But there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go.

From your loving daughter Ree and son in law Bryan.

Tributes

  1. Dear Sells Family,

I only found out about Elaine’s passing today. Sending Elaine’s family my condolences and thinking about the lovely neighbour I had back when I used to live in her street. A very kind, funny and inclusive lady. The street won’t be the same without her.

  2. You were a great friend to me. You made me laugh a lot. You were Banky’s favourite person, as you were for most of the pets in the neighbourhood. He still sits on the nature strip, staring at your house thinking he’s just moments away from seeing you with a treat for him. I’ll think of you every time I look across the road. Love you, mate.

  4. So grateful to share many years with you as our neighbour Elaine. We will miss seeing you everyday and the sound of the kids yelling across the road “ good morning Elaine” every morning. The kids will miss the lollies in the letterbox and delivering you all of our baked treats. I will miss receiving your first hydrangeas of the season you gave me every year because you knew how much I loved them. Thank you for bringing the streets bins in and out for the last ten plus years, I know it brought you as much joy as it did us seeing you. I know we have stayed living in this tiny little house because of the daily joy you brought us all. You will be forever missed. Thank you for being the best neighbour anyone could ever ask for. You have been such a huge part of our families life since we brought each one of our kids home from hospital. Until we see you again xxxxx

  10. The loveliest of neighbours. Much appreciated and respected. My mother was one of many of Winstanley Road’s residents who Mrs Sells cared for in her own unique and radical way. Mega respect.
