Tributes
Alison was a close neighbour of mine for over 35 years.
I loved our chats on a broad range of things from politics to the Arts. She always had a smile and hello. Her thoughtfulness and kindness will be missed. What a beautiful service. At least 2 of we former pupils from Murrumbeena HS 1971-76 have been watching the webcast.
We knew a very strict Miss Witcombe (nicknamed Alice at MSH) who kept us in line. Many were scared of her but we knew she cared.
I had been in touch with Alison late laast year to advise her of a MHS reunion and we exchanged several emails.
My father was great friends with Tom senior so we have a number of connections.
Alison clearly lived a great life and was very loved. You have great memories to cherish.
Alison is a wise and kind friend who will be missed. Sorry I cannot attend the memorial in person today. My thoughts will be with all her family and friends. Edward Li
Farewell to our dear friend, Alison. We are thinking of you and of the happy memories of times past.
We remember with fondness the lifelong friendships that were formed during those exciting years as new young teachers at Elwood High School in the 1960’s.
We shall miss you Sunny… and your wisdom.

Toni ChangIt is with great sadness that I acknowledge that Alison is no longer with us. Because of her close and staunch friendship with my eldest sister, Jill Anwyl, Alison has been in my life for a long time. She had a cheerful and welcoming demeanour and was always a pleasure to be with. Her loyalty, constancy, thoughtfulness and achievements are features to be lauded.
Vale, Alison – you will be greatly missed.A wonderful neighbour and a truely inspiring lady.
Cheers to you Alison. Travel well.
