Phill and Dinah Cantrell send our deepest condolences to Lindy, Virginia, Lorrie, Alan’s sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We spent a lovely evening with Alan when we were last down from Sydney a few years ago and found him to be an absolute gentleman. He was clearly a committed Christian and fun to be around, with a whimsical sense of humour and a love of nature. My parents, who have passed (Ray and Eileen Cantrell), always spoke so highly of Alan and Audrey and we could see why. Dinah and I also looked forward to his Christmas letters, which expressed his love and devotion to his family and friends. We are grateful to have known him and been included in his thoughts.
