Tributes

  1. Knowing Phil Andrew, has been one of the most enriching relationships of my life. He was such a wonderful person. A farmer, a gentleman and a friend. I worked with him on our farm building fences for nearly twenty years and it was always a pleasure to spend time with him. His booming laugh, work ethic and respectful manner made him, to me at least, ‘the best thing on the Bellarine’. He sowed the seeds of friendship wherever he went and he certainly left his mark on both hearts and landscape. He was always willing to help someone in need and always signed off with, “the job’s right”. With Phil it always was. Fencer Phil was a local icon and hero and he will be greatly missed.
To Jeannette, Brett, Kerry and your entire family, our thoughts are with you. It was truly an honour to know your husband and father.

  3. I first met Phil in the early 1970’s when I put some beehives on his mother’s paddock in Burnside Rd.
Who would have thought that nearby 20 years later we would have bought “Bridge View “ from you.
Pam and I spent nearly 20 most enjoyable years in the home that you and he had built.
The contact that followed was always wonderful.
In latter years I would catch up with him at the football.
He was always so friendly and would meet one with that great happy laugh and a smile on his face.
Pam and I express our sincerest sympathy to you Jeanette and your family.
They threw away the mould when they made Phi Andrew.
    He was great bloke!
    Kindest regards,
    Fred, Pam LeDeux and family.
