Pauline Maria BAKER

26/10/1950 – 19/12/2020
Dearly loved mother (Sinagu) of Mataio and Raka, lifetime friend and partner to David, sister to Denis, John, Mark (dec) and Marina. Daughter of Sydney (dec) and Claire (dec). Enthusiastic supporter of Andrew, Olly, Matthew and Bec. Aunty to the Baker extended clan and dearly loved by her Motuan family in PNG. Sadly missed, by her many friends across the world.
A writer, story teller, teacher of life, advocate for those without a voice and a fierce believer in social justice. Never an “I AM” person, but a quiet and effective category five cyclone of human decency. Her flair for colour, expressed her approach to life.

Tributes

  1. It was an absolute honour to know Pauline – one of the most interesting and courageous women I have ever met. Her intriguing and entertaining stories of her life experiences were cut short way too short. Rest in peace, Pauline. Love and strength to David and Raka during this very sad time. Jodi
