    I will always have wonderful memories of Uncle Max. Many visits to your house as a young girl with Pop. I remember his laugh, smile and fun! He was one to light up a room. So much warmth and love.

  5. I have a lot of fond memories visiting Uncle Max and Aunty Edna at the house “at the end of the road” (seemed so far away as a young fella). Always great to explore and Uncle Max was always patient and happy to show and explain things.
    Some stand out memories for me are;
    Aunty Edna realising she’d been feeding Uncle Max “Snappy Tom” tuna in his lunches (she’d put it on the table for Good Friday lunch) – could only imagine the looks the he would have been getting as he sat down to cat food..
    The fantastic (veggie) garden at their house on High Street Belmont…
    and
    Him proudly showing off the gold he’d found fossicking with his metal detector in Central Victoria.
    It’s been a long time since I last saw Uncle Max but he’s definitely an important influence in my formative years.
    My deepest sympathies to Aunty Edna and family.

  9. To the beautiful Browne family. What a great man Uncle Max was. He definitely had his challenges over the last few years, but this one was too much. 96 years young is a great innings. Kevin and Jan Brown and family.
