8. No matter how much trouble Andrew and I got into as youngsters (mostly me getting Andrew into trouble), Mary always welcomed me into the Chalmers home. No judgement, just acceptance. I especially remember the cold-meat and salad dinners during summer and the treacle on bread, which was a real treat for me as we didn’t each such things at home. Rest in peace Mary.
