  4. Michael, you made us all realise the world was not exactly how we thought it was. Your perspective and explosive laugh helped me to see something exciting wonderful and different. It helped me to question the obvious and test the cultural norms. Thank you for your tenacious and intense curiosity balanced so beautifully with an almost wonderful ‘who really cares anyway’ laugh, to comfort us both as we explored the uncharted sometimes scary topics that seemed so locked away. Thank you for the light you brought to our family. Thank you for teaching me to surf at Wye river and starting a passion that will never leave me. I love you big cuz.

  13. The feeling is still so surreal that you’re gone mate, cancer is such a cruel disease and seems to always hit the people that deserve it the least.
Knowing coxy as a close friend since primary school, growing up with someone you genuinely see peoples true traits. Coxy was someone who always could make you laugh and loved a beer as much as he loved his sport. Coxy never really sugar coated anything, always said what he felt, a trait perhaps more of us should adopt in the world.
Huge condolences to Sophie, Barb, Jen, Miranda and their families.
Catch up one day mate, til then Rest In Peace.

  20. He pushed the boundaries. He slipped up now and then on this or that. He believed in loyalty to his mates. He stirred the pot. He deserved an Order of Australia for his work with troubled. Family mattered heaps. And he knew he was such a lucky fella to meet a woman called Sophie. I salute him. 9/10 Michael.
