  2. The never slowing Uncle, who inspired me a lot with all of his travels. A gentleman in it’s truest meaning.

  3. We all loved the boy up the road at number 30, he was his mothers pride and joy. He married my sister Marlene and became my brother in law and later gave me away on my wedding day. He became uncle Alan to my three children Adam, Kelly and Benjamin. I am sorry my health does not allow me to be with him on his last journey, but leaves me with many happy memories.
William, Amanda, Angela and Jonathan thinking of you all at this sad time.

    Annette and family.

  4. I used to visit the Parish family when I was a teenager and am still a good friend of Alan’s daughter Mandy Parish. I have lovely memories of both Mr and Mrs Parish at their home in Highton. Last year I found out that Alan played golf with my uncle Jack Whittington which was a surprise. Then I uncovered that Bettye is my mother in laws cousin from Apollo Bay. We are all intertwined but just don’t know it. May I offer my condolences to the Parish family at this sad time.

  6. Alan was an inspiration in my life, a good and gracious man, giving of his knowledge, inspirational in its delivery, precious in my life.
Though I now live on the other side of the world, I have never felt far from him as that inspiration begets similar feelings to all I now am entrusted to lead.
So much I owe to this wonderful man, I thank God for placing us at the right place and time that I would be blessed by him.
