people at a reception

Receptions & gatherings

Gathering after the service should be simple and meaningful, leaving you with plenty of time to connect with friends and family, share memories and reflect on a life well lived.

A time to come together and reflect

After the service, many families want a chance to gather. It could be a morning tea at a community hall, a sit-down meal, or drinks at a local pub. We'll help you arrange a gathering that feels right for you, handling all the details so you can focus on being present with the people who matter.

Choosing the right setting for your gathering

There is no right way to host a gathering. Some families prefer an intimate gathering with close family and friends, while others want a larger celebration of life. You might choose to host it at a private home, one of our chapel facilities, a community hall, RSL, or your loved one's favourite local venue. Whatever feels right, we'll coordinate the venue booking, catering and any equipment or support you need on the day.

Taking care of the details

From light refreshments to full catering, we'll arrange food and drink that suits the tone and size of your gathering. Many families also love to add personal touches such as photo displays, memory books or favourite songs playing in the background – we’ve even organised dove releases. These meaningful details bring warmth and personality to the day, and we're here to bring it all together.
